Eastlands Expressions
Eastlands Expressions (E_Squared) is a creatives’ hang-out whose main objective is to bring together young people in media, arts, tech and entertainment to showcase their works and also engage on various topical issues. The platform also rallies support for the creative economy as alternative employment and also offer opportunities of mentorship and self growth.
Before covid-19, E_Squared was monthly event that brought together an average of 350 young people who interacted freely, showcased their creativity as well as shared ideas in conversations and debates. The event has since moved online and is now a weekly live show every Saturday afternoon, and that is gaining traction among many young people. The show/event is organised by Blackboy Media Lab which is a creative hub as indicated above. We run a database of about 400 creatives with whom we interact on a regularly and we believe that this lot, if supported can help create change.
